Twenty cars. 20 cars. Too many cars. So many cars.

I’m a little out of whack with boys’ toys.

Perhaps I’m just a little caught up with the transition between toys for 24+ months and little infant toys.

It takes a little acclimatization, really.

In the past three years I have bought toys I can count on one hand for Levi and Ayla.

Michele is responsible for about 30% of all the toys and home and the rest come from generous friends and family.

To say I’m completely out of touch with kids’ toys isn’t an understatement, as I don’t believe in spending money on unnecessary toys.

After all, I grew up in a relatively poor family and normal kids around my age in the early-80s had little creature comforts and toys they could call their own.

I’d much rather put the $30 into the children’s high interest savings account than spend it on a fad which Levi and/or Ayla would lose interest with within a week.

But back to Levi’s cars.

He received this over the weekend for his third birthday.

Seriously, why would a little boy need 20 cars?

That’s a lot of cars.

20 cars. Goodness me.

He has about 57 cars now, including the 35-odd cars he already currently possesses in his ‘garage’.

  1. So many great cars there! We have at least a hundred! We get out the race track once or twice a week and race them! Have fun!
